Char Dham Circuit: Gangotri is a vital part of the sacred Chota Char Dham Yatra, which includes Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Spiritual Significance: It is believed that Sage Bhagiratha performed penance to bring the river Ganges to Earth. Geography & Trekking: Located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, it offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and serves as a base for trekking to Gaumukh, Tapovan, and Kedartal.
